Patrick Maloney was found to be died the moment we entered. Mary Maloney was standing beside him, crying hysterically, yet a little unnaturally. What she said sounded quite deliberate. However, when we contacted and got information from the grocer, she was actually quite stable, cheerful and normal when she was buying the groceries. She really wanted to give her husband a good supper and even asked for advice for what to cook. It was not possible that she was the murderer. She even offered us some lamb, and were hospitable to us throughout. However, she did not display sadness at some parts, and was over friendly and cheerful when she offered us food. Then, at the end, she was seen giggling in her room, which adds on to my suspicion.
I would definitely list her down as a suspect. This could possible be an elaborate plot for her to escape from the crime, as she knows what the punishments for murder are. According to my experience, such cases have happened before, especially when someone is deeply affected. Evidence about what Patrick Maloney needs be found out.

Lamb to the slaughter(linguistic)
Singapore Free Press – HEADLINES: Wife of police detective arrested after murdering her husband
Yesterday around evening time, the wife of police detective, Patrick Maloney, was arrested for murdering her husband. According to Jack Noonan, detective on duty, the accused, Mrs. Mary Maloney, had killed her husband with a frozen leg of lamb. Sounds weird? It is true, as said by Jack. “When Mary offered us the leg of lamb that she was going to cook for supper, I realised that the soup was stained with a tinge of red. Looked closer, and we realised that the leg of lamb also had red stains on it. When we took samples for testing, we discovered that the blood belonged to Patrick. Since Mary was the person who cooked the lamb, she was the prime suspect. Upon interrogation, she totally broke down and started sobbing hysterically. That gave her away,”said Jack Noonan. Still there was something missing, when we hired a local forensics scientist to look for clues. He deduced that the murder should have taken place before 6 ‘o clock as the blood stains were found to have clotted around that time. But according to local grocer, Mary Maloney still seemed pretty chirpy when she came down to buy her grocery. Obviously Mary must have been trying to cover up her tracks by acting natural.
After interviewing her neighbours, our reporter found out that Mary was a kind soul who would not even harm a fly. So what could have happened? Apparently. Patrick Maloney must have done something to provoke her and it must have been really serious to drive Mary to killing her husband. There are many possibilities but the most probable is that Patrick cheated on Mary. But why would Patrick leave his six month old pregnant wife? Why would such a well – to – do person do such a despicable thing? This how you can never judge a book by its cover. The future looks bleak for Mary as the sentence for murder is death. But then again she did have a good reason to murder her husband; will the court allow a milder punishment? Still it is too early into investigation to tell anything, but probably the deepest concern is the unborn child. Will Mary abort the child or will the child become an orphan? Stay tuned to the Singapore Free Press for more.

Lamb to the slaughter HW(Being the judge)
Judge's arguments for Mary being accused of the murder of Patrick:
1. She destroyed the evidence by letting the detectives eat the “murder weapon”.
2. She betrayed her husband although he offered to still take care of her.
3. She tricked the detectives and Sam.
4. She killed Patrick without any reason.
5. She concealed the murder from the authorities.
Judge's arguments against Mary being accused of the murder of Patrick:
1. It was Patrick’s fault as he wanted to divorce with her , breaking the wedding oath.
2. Mary was unconscious about what she was doing and accidentally killed Patrick.
3. Patrick should have told Mary earlier before she was pregnant.
4. Patrick should not leave Mary when she was with child as it is also his responsibility to take care of the child.

Comparism of Percy Jacson book version and movie version.
There were many differences from the book and movie version. Probaly one of the most prominent one is the age difference of the actors and characters. In the book Percy and Annabeth were supposed to be 12 but in the movie they looked more like 17. Also Grover was supposed to be weak and frail but he did not seem that way in the movie. Some characters were even omitted, one such example is Nancy Bobofit. Also the way Percy Jackson and company had obtained the pearls was through his father, Poseidon, in the book but in the movie he had to fight for the pearls.
This is probaly the best part about the movie in terms of content, instead of earning a direct exit out of the Underworld after confronting Hades, they have to fight for it, which gives the book a great storyline. Also we cannot blame the director for omitting so many parts, after all this is a film, thus cannot go on for too long. Also the director has used nice action - packed scenes to substitute the lack of story content. That is yet another advantage of why movies are better than books. After all pictures speak a thousand words, if you were to read a book you have to imagine how it would look like, unlike a movie.
Now that I have talked about the advantages of the film, lets talk about the disadvantages. In a book there is definitely more room for storyline and it does not cost as much as a film to produce, so you can have a whole series. Also if you had noticed, there was no mention of the Titan lord, Kronos, in the movie, which is the main plot line for the series. If the second book, Sea of Monsters, were to be filmed, those who have never read the book will have a hard time trying to find out what is the flow of events of the whole series.
There is also the concern of the age of the actors. if you observed closely the actors looked more like 17 than 12, if the series were to continue the age difference would become more and more unrealistic.
In conclusion, I feel that the directors of this movie have made many grave mistakes in making this movie, rendering them unable to continue the story. But then again it had all the points a good movie should have. Romance, drama, action and great climax.

Avatar Movie Review (10 questions)
1. What difference is there between the humans and Na'vi?
2.Is this show trying to hint to us something?
3.Why did Jake cross over to the Na'vi side?
4.Why did the humans even want to invade Pandora?
5.In your view, which side was the "good side"?
6.How did the Na'vi "comunicate" with their god?
7.Do you thimk we treat our Mother Nature as well as the Na'vi treat their homeland? Why?
8.Is there some similarities with the Na'vi and humans apart from appearance?
9.Why did the Na'vi agree to add Jake into their"family'?
10.Why was Jake Sully different from other humans?
This is a very good show as it has great graphic designs and a great plotline. But I feel this movie is more than just for entertainment. If you were to see the lush environment on Pandora, it is the total opposite from the Earth, thus I feel that this movie is to give us some environmental awareness. The show has also shown how humans are like, the only reason why the humans invaded Pandora is for the precious rocks which are worth a fortune. Does this remind you of present day human beings? Humans fighting with humans for power and wealth. But the Na'vi are no better, they are also splitted up into tribes. In conclusion I feel that this is a very educational movie as it teaches us about how not to be greedy and harmony.
